Hey there, I’m Max :metal:,

I’m currently involved with multiple roles (website administrator, marketing executive, IT administrator) at Henry Krank & Co in Leeds. I have an educational background in IT & Computer Networks and a keen personal interest in homelabbing and self hosted services/systems. I have had my dissertation research published in the IET Information Security academic journal, and graduated university with a high 1st Class Honours degree.

When I’m not working or smacking performing percussive maintenance on printing devices, I’ll usually be tinkering with my home IT & server equipment, researching new self hosted services I can try out for myself, data hoarding, and listening to far too much music (and spreadsheeting all of it!). Multiple Roles, Henry Krank & Co

2019 — Present (Leeds)

A family owned business that provides firearms, ammunition, antiques, and general sporting equipment to shooting enthusiasts and antiques collectors alike. While working here I have been responsible for all on-prem IT equipment as well as being in charge of all research, purchasing, documentation & aquisition of IT equipment for all departments. I have created and maintained various core marketing materials, and have spent more time than I'd like to count creating Excel dashboards and reports. Duties also include general site maintenance through Magento and Wordpress dashboards.

I was instrumental in the design and planning of the new Henry Krank website launched in 2022, as I was the main point of technical contact for our contracted developers. Read more here.

Website Adminstrator / Marketing Manager, Early Music Direct

2019 — 2022 (Leeds)

Early Music Direct was the brainchild of Richard Wood, an entrepreneur with a passion and long history for all things related to early music and early music instruments. I was able to help out with his new venture by aiding with setting up the business, populating the website and social media channels, performing market research, and liaising with multiple parties to coordinate work. IT Support Engineer, G-Research

2016 — 2016 (London)

This was a brief stint for work experience while studying at university, day to day operations here were extremely sensitive and security was of paramount importance, both in terms of IT security and that of physical employee access to certain areas and secure zones of the building. The key tasks I performed here were account creation/manipulation in Active Directory, updating DNS records, updating systems, and troubleshooting issues raised as tickets and providing IT support to staff in various departments, from developers to quantitative analysts.
